Description

Queen Amidala from ep 1 of star wars, the greatest movie of all time (as stated in that '70's show so it must be a fact ;D) I preferred her in ep 1 personally, i thought the more serious personality made her much more mysterious and interesting (yeah i know it wasnt HER the whole time). i LOVED her outfits so much in The Phantom Menace. i really wanted to draw a more interesting pose instead of the same picture everyone does of her, but it was very hard to find reference. I tried to get pictures from the DVD but that wasnt working out how i planned >.> my hunt is not over, i will do more of amidala. :D

I have this watermarked, sorreh.

Oh and i have PURPOSELY made minor adjustments on her face for the expression i wanted. I would love critiques, but if you critique, please tell me exactly what i can do to fix/improve. Thanks :D

i only edited out a couple of fingerprints
all done with pencils and erasers. on regular sketchbook paper. nothing fancy.

Padme Amidala belongs to george lucas and obviously not me

I never write critiques but when I saw how wonderfully drawn *kcitten6 drew not only the intricate headdress of Queen Amidala or the realism of her skin but also how regal she made the young queen look, I couldn't help myself. The way she textured the ornate headdress and shimmered it using ONLY pencils and erases without using digital textures floors me. This drawing truly shows blooming mastery.

My only improvement would be adding some more whitening to her eyes and to her lips otherwise I think she did a wonderful job! And I cannot wait to see more of her realism work soon!
